I have long considered buying a pair of Meindl Engadin boots to save some weight. Engadin shares a number of characteristics with my Meindl Perfekt. They have no membrane, they have a high shaft that supports the ankle well.
The trip went excellently. The boots were comfortable from start to finish with no blisters. Gribskov was beautiful with light green beech shoots that were about to spring out and a flower cover in the forest floor. At Lake Esrum the mosquitoes had just hatched and were swarming in huge swarms. I therefore quickly searched back into the forest again.
