In the summer of 1990, my girlfriend Jette and I hiked the western part of the Mare à Mare route in Corsica. It was a fantastic trip with magnificent and varied nature. It was also a tough trip with hot days, cold nights and with far between opportunities for drinking water.
We were quite inexperienced and the fact that we managed the trip and even looked back on it as a great success was probably mostly due to our youthful naivety and courage 🙂
Jette and I stayed together, got married, had 3 children, who are now adults, and we have been together since 1987.
