Here you can read about apps I use in my outdoor life. The mentioned apps are rated with up to five tents.
Footpath ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️
I use Footpath for planning and navigating training trips. It costs a monthly subscription of DKK 35. In return, the app contains all the topographical maps I need and a super smart but simple way to draw routes. I do not use the navigation function when walking the route, but zoom in on my current position, which shows where I am in relation to the route. Perfect app but a bit of a shame that it costs a subscription. I will therefore unsubscribe it for periods of time.
Calazo ⛺️⛺️
Calazo makes amazing paper maps. I have bought paper maps of Sarek in the scale ratios 1:100,000, 1:50,000 and 1:25,000. In the Calazo app you can buy and view some of the paper maps as electronic maps. I bought 3 maps of the southern part of Sarek in 1:50,000, which is useful when I don’t have the paper maps around. The app itself is primitive and difficult to navigate around. The options for drawing routes are very limited and almost useless.
Swedish Mountain Maps ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️
Free App with the option to download free topographical maps of the Swedish mountain areas. Can be used for offline navigation. The maps correspond to the original Fjällkartan, where BD10 covers Sarek. An obvious free solution if you don’t want to pay for Calazo’s electronic maps.
